Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your TreeCodex account and the personal data associated with it at any time. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Delete from the app (recommended)

Open TreeCodex and sign in.
Go to Profile → Delete Account.
Tick the confirmation box, tap Delete My Account, then confirm with Delete Forever.

Request deletion by email

If you can no longer access the app, email hello@treecodex.com from the address registered to your account with the subject "Delete my TreeCodex account". We verify ownership and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What is deleted

Your profile (name, email, avatar, bio, language and gender preferences)
Your login credentials and linked sign-in providers (Google, Apple)
Social posts, comments, follows and notifications
Carbon tracking logs and lifestyle journal entries
Quest participation and gamification progress

What is retained

Donation and planting records are kept in anonymised form (your name and email are replaced with "deleted") because they are financial transactions and GPS-verified environmental proof that other donors, NGOs and planters rely on. Trees you funded continue to exist and remain attributed to "a deleted user". Payment card data is never stored by TreeCodex — it is handled solely by Stripe or Xendit.
